Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how hiringbunch.com ("hiringbunch.com", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you use the hiringbunch.com website (hiringbunch.com) and the hiringbunch.com mobile apps (together, the "Service"). It is written to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.
1. Who this applies to
The Service connects job seekers with employers. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
2. Data we collect
Job seekers
- Account: name, email address, mobile number, password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form) and whether you are a fresher or experienced.
- Profile: headline, current and preferred locations, total experience, current company and designation, current and expected salary, notice period, skills, education, LinkedIn URL and profile summary — whatever you choose to add.
- Resume: the file you upload (PDF, DOC or DOCX) and anything written in it.
- Activity: jobs you apply to and any cover note, application status updates, saved jobs, job alerts, and partner jobs you opened while logged in.
Employers
- Your name, designation, work email, mobile number and password (hashed).
- Company details: name, logo, website, industry, size, city, state, billing address and GSTIN.
- Jobs you post, notes and status updates you give applicants, candidates you unlock, and your orders and invoices.
Payments
Payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive the payment reference, amount and status. We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN or bank login details.
Collected automatically
- Website: login cookies that keep you signed in, and standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time) used for security and troubleshooting.
- Mobile app: a login token stored on your device so you stay signed in. The app does not contain advertising or third-party analytics trackers and does not access your contacts, location, camera or microphone. It reads a file only when you choose a resume to upload.
3. How we use your data
- To create and run your account and show you relevant jobs (for example, recommendations based on your skills).
- To send your application, profile and resume to the employer you apply to, and to tell you when its status changes.
- To send job alerts you set up, account emails and service messages.
- For employers: to publish and review jobs, deliver applications, provide resume database access, process payments and issue GST invoices.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and fake job posts, and fix problems.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We process your data on the basis of your consent (given when you register or apply) and for legitimate uses permitted by law. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account; this does not affect processing already carried out.
4. Who we share data with
- Employers you apply to receive your profile, resume and contact details for that application. For some jobs we deliver your application by email to the employer's recruiting address, or into the employer's own applicant tracking system (for example Greenhouse, Lever, SmartRecruiters or Ashby); the employer's privacy policy then also applies.
- Resume database: employers who buy access can search profiles of job seekers who allow it. They see a limited profile (first name, experience, skills, location, education) and can see your contact details and resume only after unlocking your profile. You can turn this off at any time in My Dashboard → Account Settings → Profile visibility.
- Partner and company sites: some jobs are listed by partners. "Apply on company site" takes you to their website, where their privacy policy applies.
- Service providers who help us run the Service under confidentiality obligations: web hosting, email delivery and Razorpay for payments.
- Authorities when required by law, court order or to protect the rights and safety of users.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
5. How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, resume, applications, saved jobs and alerts are deleted immediately from the live system and removed from backup copies when those are overwritten (normally within 30 days). Employer invoices and payment records are kept for as long as Indian tax law requires (currently up to 8 years). Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period for security purposes.
6. Your rights and choices
- Access and correct: view and edit your profile and resume at any time in your dashboard or the app.
- Delete your account: on the website go to My Dashboard → Account Settings → Delete account; in the app go to Account → Account settings → Delete account. You can also email vimalsharmatruth@gmail.com from your registered email address.
- Opt out: turn off resume database visibility, or delete your job alerts to stop alert emails.
- Nominate a person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity, and raise a grievance (see below).
7. Security
All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as hashes. Resumes are kept in a protected folder and can be downloaded only by you, employers you applied to or who unlocked your profile, and our staff. No system is perfectly secure; if a data breach affects you we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.
8. Safety warning about job fraud
hiringbunch.com never asks job seekers for money to apply, get interviews or receive offer letters. If anyone asks you to pay in our name, do not pay and report it to vimalsharmatruth@gmail.com.
